
Craig Robertson is an assistant professor in the Department of Communication Studies at Northeastern University. His research focuses on the intersection of communication history and surveillance. In 2010 Oxford University Press will publish his book on the emergence of the U.S. passport. He is the editor of “Writing from the Archive: Researching Media and Communication History” a special issue of The Communication Review forthcoming in November 2009. Along with Jeremy Packer he also edited Thinking With James Carey: Essays on Communication, Transportation, History (Peter Lang, 2006). His most recent articles have been published in Cultural Studies and Social Identities.
